Pexa receives EN9120 certification. - 15/08/06
Pexa, the specialist distributor of surface finishing technologies to the aerospace and defence industries has won Aerospace Standard EN9120 approval for both its UK and French offices, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire and Vitrolles, Provence. The certification was conducted earlier this month by European Quality Assurance Limited who provide Third Party Quality Assessment to International, European and British Standards.
This award demonstrates Pexa's commitment to continuous improvement of their quality management system and puts them at the forefront of industry requirements. The approval covers the supply of approved surface coatings, together with repackaging in custom designed small packing solutions.
"We are pleased that our new certification makes us the only official distributor of Akzo Nobel, Everlube and Socomor in Europe to carry the EN 9120 logo" said Jim Rowbotham, Managing Director.
EN9120 certification is rapidly becoming a mandatory requirement for many operators and major design engineers such as Airbus who have made this approval a cornerstone of their supplier quality programme. It is a significant accomplishment for Pexa's new French operation which is in only its second year of trading.
