Sprayguns, Paint Shop Equipment
Pexa is the aerospace industry accredited distributor for Dux area spray equipment.
Dux have fundamentally redesigned paint spray equipment using laminar flow technology, transferred from racing car engine design. Dux's patented technology significantly reduces overspray and allows perfect atomisation with low air pressures into the gun. This reduces coatings consumption by 15-40% compared to HVLP spray equipment. At the same time perfect paint finish quality is delivered even with the most demanding coatings types.
Dux Air Flow Design

- Straight passages and sweeping curves
Reduce friction and turbulence - Fewer Obstructions
Fluid needles, springs, and other parts separated from airflow passages - Minimised air travel distance
Less wall friction = lower pressure - Less air expansion at air cap
Lower operating pressures result in less explosive effect
Fan Pattern Results (Using Particle Image Velocimetry)
Leading HVLP Gun at 10 psi Air Cap Pressure
- The HVLP gun's density is uneven
Demonstrated with the orange spots - Paint particles immediately escape into the air as they leave the paint column
The air decompresses, taking paint particles with it - Blowback is apparent with the leading HVLP gun
Note the blue cloud rising from the flat surface at the bottom - Expanding air hits the surface and has no where to go
This creates paint fog
Dux Gun at 10 psi Air Cap Pressure
- Smooth, even distribution of material
Minimal orange spots on the image - Dux's Laminar Airflow Technology virtually eliminates sagging and orange peel
Less air is trapped behind coating material - Excess particles and VOCs are reduced
Material lands on the target
